Humble Beginning, Bright Future
 In 1972, Mr. Sam Hu established Megatone Electronics, selling portable AM/FM/SW1/SW2/SW3 radios, with only a few trusted employees. In two years, he broadened the product line to include radio cassette, radio phonographs and phonographones. Having added the capacity to develop and manufacture the front panels and cabinets for radio cassette players, Megatone made its debut as an integrated component manufacture and assembler. By 1978, we were offering music centers and mini stereo systems.
 Even though audio products is now a small part of our sales, we are proud of the name MEGATONE as it reminds us of Mr. Hu's founding motto: to build life-long relationships with attentive service, quality products and honest business practices. Many of those original customers have stayed with us through the years, over generations. Today, Mr. Hu challenges us to continuously improve our customers' experience with Megatone.
It is because of the need for constant innovation that Megatone branched out to the assembly and distribution of components in the 1980s. We supplied active and passive components from manufacturers such as ATMEL, Microchip, National Semiconductor, Philips, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, to overseas manufacturers of televisions, radio cassette players, uninterrupted power supplies, automatic voltage regulators, alarm systems, and security systems. In 1983, we needed and built a factory specifically for the manufacturing of specialized consumer electronics such as remote controls, timers, body fat meters, and battery chargers.
In 1990, we built our current electronic manufacturing facility in Tu Cheng, Taipei County. Over these years, we formed a solid R&D team, highly capable in design support services. Megatone today is a full service provider, able to fulfill your needs from initial product design to component procurement to final assembly of PCBs from one layer to multi-layers. Our client list now includes customers from all over the world, with one thing in common - satisfaction with our service, product quality and prices, what we call the Megatone Experience.
